Sheil Road Dental would like to bring this information to the attention of our patients, Important guidance for us all to follow by the General Dental Council.
The Government has published guidance which everyone needs to follow throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
The headline measure for us all to follow is to stay at home unless you need to go out for:
essential work which cannot be done remotely from home.
Further guidance is available from the NHS, including general information about COVID-19, how to prevent its spread, and what to do if you have symptoms.
Important guidance for people who are more at risk
For most people who contract COVID-19, symptoms will be relatively minor, but there are some who will need to be treated in hospital.
For those with an increased risk of serious symptoms, such as the over 70s, pregnant women and anyone who qualifies for a flu jab, the advice is to stringently follow social distancing measures.
For those facing the highest risk of severe symptoms, for example people with specific cancers and severe respiratory conditions, the advice for them is to shield themselves from risk completely by staying home at all times and avoiding all face-to-face contact.
Information for people with possible COVID-19 symptoms
If you think you might have COVID-19 symptoms, the NHS provides an online coronavirus service.
If you have access to the internet, please use the online service in the first instance to ensure those without access can reach the NHS 111 phone line. 999 should continue to be used in an emergency.
Access to Dental Care
The four Chief Dental Officers (for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) have recommended that all non-urgent dental care is suspended until further notice.
If you have an urgent dental care need, which may need to be treated at an urgent care centre, or need advice about your personal oral health needs, you should contact your dental practice in the first instance.
If you are not registered with a dental practice, guidance is being provided by the NHS in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you do not have access to the internet, you can call NHS 111.
Please get in touch with reception on 0151 263 3088 if you are looking for a dentist in Liverpool.
