Take care of your sweet teeth over Halloween

What holiday worries dentists everywhere? Halloween. Although it's a time for shrieks, costumes and lots of candy, this haunted holiday can wreak havoc on your kids' (and your) teeth. But it doesn't have to. Avoid an unnecessary trip to your Liverpool Dentist by following some easy guidelines and potentially avoiding damage to your teeth.

Choose your Halloween treats wisely.  Some treats are worse than others with respect to the health of your teeth. If you and your family are trick or treating this Halloween inspect the loot on your return home.  Remove sweets and toffees that can become lodged in your teeth making them difficult to remove and therefore potentially causing tooth decay more easily.

Don't be "ghouled" into rushing straight off to brush your teeth after eating sweets.  Some sweets cab weaken the enamel on your teeth so if you wait a little while you are less likely to cause damage.

If you are concerned about your oral health, please contact our Liverpool Dentist where one of our team will be happy to discuss your concerns with you.
